A motion was filed on April 14, 2014 by the Attorney General for the State of California, on behalf of the executive director of the Medical Board of California accusing Dr. Akmakjian of gross negligence, prescribing dangerous drugs without an appropriate prior examination or medical indication; excessive prescribing and failure to maintain adequate and accurate records.
